I'd love to introduce you to one of my retainer clients, Lucy Stopes-Roe. Lucy is an incredibly talented jeweller, creating intricate jewellery pieces, which she sculpts, casts and finishes entirely by hand from her studio in North London. Inspired by nature and storybook realms, her pieces are designed to become future heirlooms, passed down between different generations.


I've been working with Lucy on her product photography for over a year now, and it's been a beautiful journey of discovering the soul of her brand, crafting images that beautifully reflect the sense of magic and whimsy characterising her jewellery in each image.

My approach


When photographing Lucy's jewellery pieces, I aim to emphasise each individual piece's deeper connection to the brand's personality, highlighting the collection it belongs to through props, the use of warm and inviting colours, and intentional product placement. When Lucy first enquired, she mentioned how important it is for her for her photography to tell a story cohesively, with individual photos still being slightly different from each other to keep things interesting for her clients and website visitors. I've found so much creativity and joy in dreaming up different moods, themes, and settings, and have loved playing around with flowers, antique books, and natural settings to create photos that are unique, wonderfully whimsical, and harmonising perfectly with Lucy's existing content.
