In the Spring this year, I was part of the most beautiful styled wedding shoot at Ecton House, a Grade II listed historic house and wedding venue in Northamptonshire. Together with the most talented group of wedding suppliers, we let our creativity run free and create some beautiful wedding imagery, all inspired by the Pre-Raphaelite art movement. Think elaborate and whimsical florals, romantic wedding dresses adorned with lace, botanical inspired jewellery and tables decorated to perfection.
The Venue
Ecton House is proudly run by Harvi and Ash, who I was lucky to meet on the day and who are so incredibly lovely and passionate about what they do. Ecton House is a beautiful Grade II listed former rectory, dating back to the 17th century, resored by its proud owners to its former grandeur. It offers such a perfect blend of history, English elegance and comfort for a memorable wedding day and an exceptional stay for the bride and groom and their close circle.
I felt incredibly lucky to work alongside such talented wedding suppliers. Firstly, Jodie from Transfigured Florals, who put together the concept and visual mood boards so perfectly, so really it's thanks to her that all of this happened. I'm in love with the way Jodie creates floral fairy tales, and loved the experience of capturing her work and the behind the scenes. As our model couple, we had Cloe & Mark who were fantastic! Bride Cloe wore a selection of wedding dresses from Bonsoire Bridal, a local wedding dress boutique, and had her hair and makeup beautifully done by the talents of Claudia Salaris (Hair) and Elisha Simon (MUA). We had Untraditional Wedding Stylists for our immaculate and fairy tale worthy table styling, Peach Wolfe for some incredibly beautiful stationery, and the finishing touches were provided by jewellers Bish Bosh Becca and Lucy Stopes-Roe. Last but not least, we had The Copper Kitchen provide a gorgeous grazing board, and The Cake Lab creating the dreamiest wedding cake. Myself and content creator Claudia from Weddings of Social, whose work I love, did what we do best: documenting the love, the artistry, and the beauty of it all.
